For a while, I thought the next job I took was going to be cushy and easy, because I was burnt out. Turns out I wanted a job where there was trust and respect for my work and I didn't have to fight for everything. All of a sudden, I'm not burnt out anymore. HUH.
A man looked at me funny today as I struggled to open the fridge door and pull something off the shelf at the grocery store, one-handed (baby in other arm, covered). I looked at him and told him, “anything you can do, I can do breastfeeding” and walked away✌🏼🐄
If I had a dollar for every time someone commented on my sons “expressive” (re: prominent) eyebrows, I could pay our hospital birth bills or start his college fund. Maybe both.
NEW: The European Union Parliament just voted overwhelmingly to condemn the United States for overturning Roe v. Wade. They are now moving to make safe and legal abortion a fundamental right in Europe.
12 weeks: birth, postpartum, breastfeeding struggles, sleep deprivation, severe rash, allergic reaction to meds to treat rash resulting in different itchier rash, two days of power outage / no AC in 100° weather, and now Covid. My body is running on E.
