Thank you!
Lohen's approach to knighthood is fascinating because he doesn't reject the ideal of protecting people. He rejects the idea that protection has to look respectable. If throwing himself into danger saves someone, he'll do it regardless of how unconventional it looks. #genshintwt
Lohen's most interesting contradiction is that he comes from a family built around consistency, yet everything about him is motion. He was raised to be like a perfectly maintained bow, only to become someone who refuses to stay in the position he was given. #genshintwt
Lohen probably has the most bizarre mission reports in the Knights of Favonius archives. Half of them begin with “Against standard procedure...” and somehow end with “mission successfully completed.” #genshintwt
I really like that Mitya doesn't seem to be written as the stereotypical “cold genius.”
His intelligence isn't presented as emotional detachment. He's curious, expressive, willing to admit when he doesn't understand something & apparently kind of a natural airhead. #genshintwt
Lohen is the type of person who can remember an entire conversation word-for-word but conveniently forgets the part where someone told him they were worried about him. #genshintwt
I love when a character's kindness isn't soft. Lohen's kindness feels practical. He'll patch your wounds, hand you food, and make sure you survive but don't expect him to tell you everything will be okay unless he believes it. #genshintwt
The loneliness of Lohen isn't that nobody understands him. It's that he deliberately makes himself difficult to understand because vulnerability feels more dangerous than isolation. #genshintwt
Lohen is the type of character whose loyalty becomes self-destructive. Once you've earned his trust, he'll keep choosing you even when it's objectively the worse option for himself. #genshintwt
If someone falls asleep on Lohen's shoulder, he won't move for hours. He'll complain internally the entire time but he'd rather lose circulation than wake them up. #genshintwt
— Lohen Story Quest Spoilers!
I love how after completing the quest, there is now a permanent cecilia flower in front of Adorno's grave.
This helps me identify where his resting place is so I can visit him as Lohen before I log off any time I'm online. #genshintwt
Lohen being a filler character means that he won't be getting content for a good while. We all knew this but I felt like he could've made an impact in the main story, even as a supporting role or at least present during the Moon-Prayer Night.
I'll feed myself my own hcs I guess.
Mini thread on Lohen — 🧵
I think it’s very interesting that Lohen’s character can serve as many allegories for SA, SH, animal testing, and mental heath/PTSD awareness! His initial drive revolving around control so that he can never feel weak and possibly taken advantage of +
In military culture, they would suggest labelling your gun as your "wife" as you must have them by your side at all times & have strong bonds with it.
When Lohen says knives are better "wives," it means he prefers to have a blade. He was never comparing them to an actual spouse.
i can see where you’re coming from, it kinda went over my head when i first read it , i just assumed he called his knives his wives because he really adored them or something and didn’t think of further implications
I think people hear "hare" and immediately think "just a bunny but bigger" but symbolically they feel really different. Rabbits feel cozy, cuddly & cute. Whereas Hares feel untamed. Lohen feels like someone standing slightly outside everyone else's rhythm. #genshintwt
