I'm just so proud of Junhwan. He already talked about this, and he already said he's not retiring but we all know he wanted to act again and now he's not only acting with his skating skills, but coming back with the acting career who was left out because he fell in love with fs
Still remembering the joke that we could put ads on the bottom of Jun's skates given how often we get to see them from the pics like the one on the left
Now I understand that after Milan, Jun is trying to find ways to pursue everything he wants to do — creating choreography for others, coaching, leading ice shows, and acting — all while continuing as a national team athlete.
Incredibly inspiring 🥹
look, Junhwan's still skating everyday at the rink and is choreographing for other skaters and leading a Korean ice show in two months and is officially NOT RETIRING so we don't have to cancel men's figure skating yet for not having Jun just because he happens to be workaholic
Some personal thoughts. This past season Jun's been focused entirely on Milan while battling with injuries and boot issues. Now with the Olympics behind him, I think he can focus on recovery while trying out things that he hasn't had a chance to do last 15-16 years 🧵
Rumour mill round-up for non-Korean fans (a grain of salt absolutely necessary):
- Apparently Jun has also been seen helping with coaching (!!)
- He might've already choreographed more than one program (in addition to the gala for Jaekeun)
