In Irish myth, herons and cranes blur into one another...their names and symbolism became quite interchangeable.

It is within this tale of confusion confusion that the story of Manannán mac Lir’s 'crane bag', the corr bolg exists.

Aoife,, was a princess of the Tuatha Dé Danann and lover of the son of Manannán.

She was cursed and transformed into a great wading bird, a crane...or heron, by a jealous rival of her partner and for 200 years she lived in Manannán’s Otherworldly Kingdom watched over by the God of the Sea himself, becoming his confidante, friend and source of inspiration 🪄

When Aoífe died, Manannán created the corr bolg, the crane bag, from her skin and within it he kept his most powerful treasures.

And whilst this may seem a little gross it was done out of love and respect 🌊🪶

お金ない人は動物を飼ってはいけないの？という議論をまた最近よく見かけます……

私も猫を突然保護したのでじゅうぶんな蓄えがあった訳では無いですが、ご飯以外にもお金はたくさんかかります。

3歳で腎不全になり〈初期治療〉にかかったお金は
51万円でした。

その後も通院は続きます。１回1万〜2万円。
薬代、点滴代、シリンジ代は年間40万円。

命に責任を持つということは
〈可愛い〉だけでは全うできないかもしれません。

ペットを幸せにするもしないも人間次第。

限界はあるけれど、できる限りの事をしてやれることが大事かと、思います。
