@adaobi_amadi But come to think of it, who told us being good or bad guarantees anything? Life deals with us as it pleases! I’ll still choose to be good, regardless! I believe God has a plan for all of us. Barrenness may be her burden to bear for a while/forever who knows? Only God knows!
I know a lady who married as a virgin in her late 20's. I knew this because she and I were attending the same church at the time, and she had married a pastor, who constantly used their marriage story to preach.
4 years after, they were still trying to conceive. I changed church and lost contact with them until late last year, when I saw them at a wedding. The women I was sitting with started to talk about how everyone was still praying for them to conceive. They had been married 10 years at the time.
When I was pregnant and attending antenatal, I became friends with another pregnant woman who liked to talk. She's probably one of the most "open" people I've ever met. She was married and was pregnant for her 5th child at the time.
One time, a new gynecologist walked in to where we were gathered. He was a kind-looking doctor who seemed to be in his mid 50's. She turned to me and said "I know him!"
Before I could reply, she continued, "he did 4 abortions for me when I was still in school."
Then she started to regale me with tales of her escapades when she was still in school. The time she almost got kidnapped on her way to 'do runs' (in her own words).
She laughed as she talked.
I laughed too.
Still, there are days when I think about her randomly, and about the pastor's wife too.
I think about how unscripted life is... how lucky some people are, and how unlucky some are.
I think about how some people live their whole lives playing by the rules and being good people, and yet, life remains unkind to them... while others live their lives recklessly and without regards for any laws or anyone, and still enjoy the best things that life has to offer.
Life is unscripted.
An ordinary citizen of a country travelled to another African country, because he could afford it and wanted to express solidarity to his team.
After the match, he simply went home.
No Press Conference
No pictures with Player
Didn’t even go to their hotel
Don’t make a speech
Didn’t take a shot with the players.
But to these Ronu Rascals, such an ordinary citizen is trying to score political points.
The Bible says “the wicked (ronu) runneth (from himself) when no one pursues.
How difficult it is to beat a village drum you stole!
A few days ago, I saw a video from a popular Nollywood actor opening up about his failed marriage with his ex-wife.
I listened keenly to his words & although they say that there are three sides to a story, as a man, I could tell that he was full of regrets.
The man is 56 years

While Dollar was singing Lonely at the top to Naira, Davido was unbothered so he came to Twitter to search for names for his new born twins before he mistakenly liked a tweet subbing BBNaija first class graduate (Phyna).

“Go to court”
We have gone to court, even as the thieves have spoken with the bold confidence of men who believes the judiciary complicit in their crimes. We await the court’s judgement, and history awaits the justices with its own judgement..🇳🇬😊

I woke up this morning wondering how we got to this cul de sac. In 1999, @officialABAT claimed he attended St. John's Primary School, Aroloya, Lagos, before proceeding to Children Home School in Ibadan. According to him, his next port of call in his educational journey was Government College Ibadan and, Richard Daley College and Chicago State University in the United States. Curiously, in 2023, Tinubu settled with attending only @ChicagoState. I am scratching my head. How is that possible? Methinks that all well-meaning Nigerians should be as confused as I am with Tinubu’s declaration that he had no primary and secondary education, yet he has a university degree. You may wish to #AskTinubu how he attained this feat so that we can learn from his ingenuity 😆 -AA
