when you see people with dogs being rescued from flood water the best response is probably not to shame the owners for being what you assume is irresponsible

2nd donation of 2020 goes to @ChicagoRescues. They are at @ChicagoACC 4 days a week to offer help to keep families and pets together or get surrendered pets into rescue. The little guy in the video was rescued by @onetailatatime and will be adoptable soon!

At least 23% of the pets surrendered to @ChicagoRescues are given up due to housing issues. It’s one of the main reasons pets end up in already overcrowded public shelters. Many of the animals you see in shelters were once beloved family pets, only made homeless for this reason.

Frito was a CRISP dog! In foster now but still looking for his forever.
