Fancy panels and lots of gadgets - but the key skill and ability will always be stockmanship - ‘what does the bird want today?’

If we don’t know/learn/teach/share/expand/experience stockmanship, we don’t know what to ask the computer to do...

Our water supplies are critical - so we filter the water multiple times, add water treatment and then pipe through to the birds... we test for minerals and bacteria regularly.

The goal - the birds to be better looked after than I looked after myself 🤣 !

And the turkeys - all year round turkey farming for us. These are young and turkeys are always super inquisitive. If you want your poultry to follow you round the barn then go see some turkeys 😃

Biosecurity is always key - and one of the team has put this together of the basic kit we use daily.

Great reminder that Biosecurity for farming isn’t just COVID (as key as that is right now !)

Taking depletion lorry swabs this morning, we swab every 3 weeks for #Salmonella and even the day the birds deplete, food safety is a critical part of 🇬🇧 agriculture, this government must not allow imports which are not of these standards 🐔🐣

British Food Standards are some of the best in the world. Our farmers and food producers have, and continue to, work hard to build a food system that ensures high standards of production from farm to fork to put #FoodOnEveryTable. 👏🍽️
