@Cointelegraph the phishing part is the real point. nobody needs to crack anything when a fake support dm already works. ai just makes those messages read a lot more convincing, so i've stopped trusting anything that shows up unasked, no matter how legit it looks
@lookonchain fresh wallets pulling from a market maker could be accumulation, but it could just as easily be otc desks settling client orders. i'd want to see those coins sit untouched for a few weeks before calling it whales loading up
a big bank putting a stablecoin straight into an app people already use every day is a different kind of adoption than another exchange listing. curious whether it stays a walled garden inside payme or can actually move out to other wallets, that's what decides how useful it really is
@Cointelegraph the growth makes sense once you've wanted to trade something at odd hours. what i'd want to know is how much of that volume is real two-way flow versus incentives, and whether prices stay close to the underlying while the actual stock market is shut
@WuBlockchain@new_era_finance@star_okx the 3ac story is a good reminder of how close a lot of places came to going down that road. as a user you can't really see what happens behind the curtain, so i just keep exchange balances to what my bot actually needs and skip the yield products on the rest
@coinglass_com revenge mode is how most of my worst days started. these days if the last move hurt, the bot keeps running and i keep my hands off the buttons
@0xNairolf agree. for most people it's still an app they open when they feel like gambling, not money they actually use. running a small bot all day, the rails work fine now, it's the boring everyday use that's still missing
@tradingriot crude implied sitting that far over realized says people are paying up for a headline that hasn't landed yet. copper vol this quiet is the one i'd watch, it rarely stays that calm. i mostly trade crypto but this board still leaks into how big i size
@lookonchain these always look dramatic, but the painful part is usually how close the liquidation sat to an obvious level. a drop like today's goes looking for exactly that leverage. running a small bot taught me sizing so one move can't force me out matters way more than being right
@lookonchain eleven days of the same swap in steady chunks reads more like a planned rebalance than a hunch. could also be one leg of a pair trade with a hedge somewhere we can't see. either way i wouldn't take it as a call on where btc goes next week
@0xNairolf agree, the low timeframe noise gets really loud on days like this. steady inflows don't stop a leverage flush from happening, they just make it less likely the flush turns into an actual trend. i try hard to keep those two things separate in my head
@WuBlockchain second breach in about a year is the part that sticks with me. once you can call bad luck, twice starts to look like how the place is run. i only keep what i'm actively trading on any exchange and treat the rest like it could disappear on a random tuesday
