🚨📢| Amir Ghalenoei, the head coach of the Iranian national team, has come out strongly
to condemn VAR and the World Cup officials:
🗣Amir Ghalenoei,
“If you don’t want us to participate in the World Cup, just say it,” he effectively said. Disallowing that goal was completely uncalled for-it was a clear goal, not offside. I feel like the entire football world is against us. Iran fought with everything they had, and the world saw it.”
Today, we said goodbye to @OPP_News Constable Tarun Bali. We stood and marched in solidarity with police services from across the country, united in honouring a young officer who gave everything to protect his community.
Our hearts are with his family and colleagues, and we promise to never forget his life and service.
The entire @PeelPolice family will continue to honour his sacrifice.
Today, we mourn the loss of Constable Marc Pinizzotto.
“No words can capture the impact on Marc’s family, who expected him to come home today. We as a Service will support them and each other,” Chief Myron Demkiw said. “This loss will have a profound impact on the Toronto Police Family. Our Service, our members, and all members of the larger policing family are deeply saddened.”

For a second day, we lined the route to the Office of the Chief Coroner in honour of sacrifice and service to our community by a police officer trying to make their community safer. Today, we saluted our own Emergency Task Force Constable Marc Pinizzotto who was taken from us far too early.
I was deeply moved this morning by the outpouring of support from members of the community and our fellow first responders who stood with us during this morning’s procession in honour of OPP Provincial Constable Tarun Bali. The overwhelming show of solidarity along the procession route provides strength and comfort to our officer’s family, friends and colleagues during an incredibly difficult time. When we experience loss, it is your compassion and support that help carry us forward. To everyone who helped us honour Provincial Constable Bali today, thank you. #HeroesInLife
