I took my grandson to Tic-Toc Cafe. His go to spot. Most “Metry” spot around. Open 24 hrs. Very, very casual. Good food at a fair price. Friendly service. Fully staffed. Lots of regulars. Diverse. Best run business I have visited in yrs. A snapshot of how America should operate.
Today’s Amendment 5, if passed, would allow judges the option of running for reelection until age 75. I knew when I ran for Judge that I could not run for reelection under the constitution. The voters will speak on the issue and I will be very happy to live with their decision.
Class of 1971 55th @JesuitNOLA reunion last night. So reflective to spend time with classmates who knew you before you lived your life. I loved hearing about their families and extremely successful careers. Photo from last night and one from 25 year reunion in 1996, 30 years ago.
While taking my morning walk, I ran into my dear friend @PMurphyWWL . We reminisced about all of the big trials that we covered together in federal and state court. Man, I miss the action. Paul is a true professional. I Hopefully we’ll get to do something together soon.
I asked Dan Hurley the same question I asked Tom Izzo: why does the media have a problem with coaches coaching players hard?
Hurley: "Society has gotten soft in a lot of ways... The real world is tough and cruel... I'm preparing my players for life."
This scene in Miami Vice where "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins plays stands as one of TV's all time greatest cinematic sequences. It effortlessly establishes the mood and highlights just how far today's television industry has fallen. This authentic soul is gone.
My grandson Kane Raspanti and his buddy Lane at Savannah Banana game.. been a long time since baseball has been played in the Dome…need to get a preseason UNO/Tulane/LSU series like the old days
This morning while I was walking into the Gretna Courthouse, I had the pleasure of seeing one of the most gifted attorneys in the area. Like myself, our roots go back to the heyday of Tulane and Broad, where we both learned how to try a case from the legendary Judge Frank Shea.
I’m out taking a magnificent walk sporting an early Christmas present from my son, @BrianForet. I am supporting my alma mater @TulaneLaw class of 1977. Now that I have successfully completed my “fall break”, I have decided to maintain the brand. @byronellis2@CoachJonSumrall
I started early. After driving around town this morning in preparation of Thanksgiving, I just made myself a delicious sandwich with @MothersNOLA ham and a beautiful tomato from Dewitt's fruit stand on freshly baked sourdough bread from @LaBoulangerieNO bakery on Magazine St.
My wife and I came downtown on the prettiest day of the year to have lunch at Delacroix, overlooking the river. Our son-in-law, @BrianJTravis is in town with the Hornets for tonight’s game. I am taking advantage of my time off.
"I feel like this year I'm back to who I was my other 41 years as a coach..
I was a little mad when I got here last year 😂😂
I don't need to do that anymore because we've established ourselves" ~ @CCignettiIU#PMSLive
“If I die knowing that I did my best to do what was right, even if the history books say I did wrong, I would still feel okay about that. I care about the reality of goodness, not the perception of it.”
– Elon Musk
Dr. Corey Hebert @WWLTV just gave an excellent explanation of the difference between correlation and causation on the issue of pregnant women taking Tylenol. He lowered the temperature by keeping it simple. (Pun intended). He is continuing the Nash Roberts legacy of authenticity.
