Braves transactions from a dating perspective
DFA - Need to break up while my buddies are in town for a few days
Outright - I might want you back
Reject outright and elect free agency - Playing hard to get
Re-sign with Minor League deal - I missed you
To make the finals, we have to first go through the East’s gauntlet of bigs that now consist of :
- KAT
- MitchRob
- Ivica Zubac
- Evan Mobely
- Jalen Duren
- Embiid(health)
-Giannis(trade dependent)
- AD(health and trade dependent)
And yall want to run it back with just Kong
2026 NBA Draft Prospect
Aday Mara
Height - 7’4.50 with shoes
Wingspan - 7’6
Height - 260lbs
Potential 8th pick for the Atlanta Hawks and fan favorite.
Does he solve the Hawks size problem?
You can PAY for a good guard, hell that’s where the offseason money should go. Go and pay for a great scorer. But we shouldn’t pay premium for a big man when an amazing young kid at that position falls to us
Some of this Fanbase is hilarious. All year you’ve seen us struggle to get OReb, struggle to play against real centers, struggle to not overcompensate and collapse in the paint when a scorer drives in… but we shouldn’t take the guy that solves all of that if he’s there at 8….

And the rebuttal to not take him? “ we need to get one of the remaining guards”… there’s a reason they were remaining if one of them fell to 8 : too small, not athletic, doesn’t fit Onsi’s prerequisites for the position.
The Atlanta Hawks are signing general manager Onsi Saleh to a long-term contract extension and promoting him to President of Basketball Operations, sources tell ESPN. Saleh – runner up for 2026 league executive of the year – took over as Hawks GM last offseason after joining Atlanta in 2024 following executive stints in Golden State and San Antonio.
@JakeLFischer More pride in our fanbase now after seeing our group assembled at the deadline getting 2 games against that squad while the Cavs and 76ers, with all of their respective playoff xp and multiple all star caliber players, got… well 🧹 🧹
Revised East standings
1. Knicks
2. Yeah.
3. No, really.
4. It isn't close.
5. Hawks - 2 wins vs. Knicks
6. Cavs - 2 analytical wins vs. Knicks
7. Celtics - How did they lose to PHI again?
8. Hornets - Needed to not screw up the play-in tournament.
@HawksDraftNerd an unathletic guard that hasn’t shown any semblance of separation at the college level and an inconsistent guard with a shaky jumper at best and little defensive make up? You can send Philon to the G to iron out the creases but then how do you deploy Wagler off the bench?
@ZachLangleyNBA But how would we absorb the contract? Imo, the only way would be to let Kuminga walk, find a way to offload Kispert and then make a decision between Kong and NAW… and then I would also assume that would mean we would not resign McCollum
Per @TheSteinLine:
• Atlanta is one team to keep an eye on if Jaylen Brown becomes part of Boston’s pursuit of Giannis Antetokounmpo, with some around the league believing the Hawks would have real interest in Brown.
