@StandAndKnox@ADRoblesMedia I’ve not been into WoW lately, plus have had sketchy internet out here. I’ll be home soon, but I’m probably jumping into FFXIV when I get back.
@HappeyGoLuckey@BaileyJoy9@Joshua_M_Hump It was the catalyst which spawned the Reformed Protestant denominations in Europe. Before that there was only Catholicism and Eastern Orthodox which had split from the Apostolic Church 600 years before the Reformation. US settlers were products of the Reformation.
@HappeyGoLuckey@BaileyJoy9@Joshua_M_Hump I disagree. The Reformation itself is a perfect example of recapturing biblical truth and the 2nd/3rd order effects of that were felt globally.
“If however, the reason why the Son is said to have been sent by the Father is simply that the one is the Father and the other the Son, then there is nothing at all to stop us believing that the Son is equal to the Father and consubstantial and co-eternal, and yet that the Son is sent by the Father (in an equal but different authority-submission relationship). It’s not because one is greater and the other less, but because one is the Father and the other is the Son, one is the begetter, the other the begotten. The first is the one from whom the sent one is, the other is the one who is from the sender.
For the Son is from the Father, not the Father from the Son. In the light of this, we can now perceive that the Son is not just said to have been sent because the Word became flesh, but that he was sent in order for the Word to become flesh.” -Augustine
And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation..” #PSA
@xTheGoodNews Yes there will still be a unique bond between those who are one flesh. However the nature of the relationship changes significantly to one that is entirely spiritual. The earthly benefits of marriage dissolves. Our focus will not be on each other but on Christ in perfect worship.
@Stevewm63@BaileyJoy9@Joshua_M_Hump They may be a result of sin in some cases, but in most others it was a return to biblical fidelity. Common sense and natural revelation (and Scripture) will tell you clearly that we will never be like-minded on this side of Eternity. Your Non-Denom is a denomination, by the way.
