At this point, calling her the Finance Minister feels misleading. She increasingly looks like a Revenue Minister whose priority is extracting more from taxpayers.

Middle class is angry. Bankers are frustrated. Investors are losing confidence. FPIs are exiting. Markets are under pressure. The rupee keeps weakening.

Where is the strategy to revive private investment, boost consumption, create jobs and restore confidence?

A Finance Minister should not be known merely for collecting revenue.
