This electric “motorcycle” is allowed to travel on bike paths in Toronto. No vehicle license. No helmet, in spite of the fact they go 70km/hr+! License them Premier Ford. It’s time we recognize electric bikes for what they are. Vehicles! @fordnation @oliviachow @gordperks

Get electric bikes and scooters off our bike paths and sidewalks. They travel at excessive speeds, silently putting pedestrians at risk. Recognize them for what they are; motorized vehicles. License them and their riders. @oliviachow @gordperks @cityoftoronto @TorontoCouncil

@fordnation Scrap your ill-conceived idea of replacing speed cameras with speed bumps, which just slow down response times, making it more difficult for those Fire Fighters to respond quickly. A slower response gives a fire time to increase in intensity and puts their lives more at risk.

@Rob4Ajax The Premier’s traffic calming solutions to control speed will also put peoples’ lives at risk, by increasing the response times of emergency vehicles. Speed bumps in particular endanger the lives of critical patients in the back of an ambulance.
