Sometimes I wonder what Nigerian creatives would be if we had peace of mind.
If we could build momentum and keep it.
But even here, we still create.
We still tell stories.
We still refuse to stop.
Every time I finally build creative momentum, I open my phone and Nigeria reminds me why it’s hard to keep going.
Not because I’m not inspired.
But because the first thing I see is a news that shakes the mind.
And just like that, my mind shifts from creating… to surviving.
People only see the final work.
The photos. The films. The results.
They don’t see the anxiety behind it.
Creating while overwhelmed.
Creating while distracted.
Creating while emotionally drained.
Simplicity is not weakness, it’s wisdom.
Anyone can complicate. Few can simplify.
The best photographs don’t shout… they whisper.
Their strength is in their silence.
