In a society where traditional masculinity reigns supreme, a subtle yet suffocating expectation is placed upon young boys and men: to never show weakness, never feel pain, and never cry. This unspoken rule has given birth to the phenomenon of the "man child," a individual conditioned to conceal their emotions and vulnerabilities behind a mask of strength.

From a tender age, boys are taught to suppress their feelings, to "toughen up," and to never show tears. This conditioning is reinforced by societal norms, cultural expectations, and even familial pressures. The message is clear: to be a "real man," one must be impervious to pain, unshakeable in the face of adversity, and forever stoic.

However, this rigid facade comes at a steep price.

It's time to shatter this toxic paradigm. Let us raise our boys to be emotionally intelligent, to embrace their vulnerabilities, and to understand that strength lies in the courage to feel, to cry, and to heal. Only then can we break free from the shackles of the "man child" and unlock a more compassionate, authentic, and wholehearted way of living.

We love you Shaun and we understand. Your willingness to unlearn an relearn is commendable. This breaks our heart seeing you cry and try to express your frustrations and pain in a world unwilling to stop, listen and give you a hug.
