He went to see his friend, who was an Arsenal fan, after he passed away and started talking at his grave about how Arsenal won the leagueβ¦ this is why we watch this beautiful sport π₯Ήβ€οΈ
Former Bayern Club President Uli Hoeness on the club's season ticket prices:
"We could charge more than Β£104. Let's say we charged Β£300. We'd get Β£2m more in income, but what's Β£2m to us?
"In a transfer discussion you argue about that sum for five minutes. But the difference between Β£104 and Β£300 is huge for the fan. We do not think the fans are like cows, who you milk.
"Football has got to be for everybody. That's the biggest difference between us and England."
The words are years old but the sentiment has never been more relevant. While Bayern keep their season ticket prices amongst the most accessible in European football, clubs in this country continue to price ordinary supporters out of the game. Some are charging five, six, seven times what Bayern ask of their fans.
Breaking: Daniel Stendel back at Barnsley. Two-year deal with a club option for a third. Led the club to promotion from League One in 2019.
Stendel: βI am absolutely delighted to be back at Barnsley Football Club. This is a place that means a great deal to me, and Iβm really looking forward to reconnecting with old friends while also getting to know new faces around the Club and in the town. I canβt wait to get back to work and start this next chapter together.β
Neerav Parekh: βWe want to re-establish that same connection between the fans, the town and the Football Club - a Barnsley side that plays with energy, bravery and pride. Daniel understands what this Club means to people, and his values align completely with the direction we want to take moving forward. He demands relentless effort and a desire never to give up from his players - values we stand firmly behind as a Club and a town.β

@EdwardD23880675 @BarnsleyFC Ahhh, I didn't realise it was a weather postponed game, been that many fixture changes I forgot what was for what. Makes sense now. Still think it should be on there but understand the explanation. Still frustrating when we can't watch our team
@Christophe61107@BarnsleyFC We haven't tho really. Jackson Smith showed he isn't capable. Flavell probably just needs a bit more experience. If this season was a complete write off from the start then we should have just not bothered with loans and played Flavell. Really like him, just needs the opportunity
@SmallwoodDeclan@BarnsleyFC I haven't. But those 2 have specifically cost 2 goals today. Could even make an argument that they've made a mess for all 3 just between the 2 of them
