Anxiety tip: Next time you cringe over some embarrassing moment you had years ago try to remember other people's embarrassing moments. You can’t can you? That’s because you’re the only embarrassing human to exist, everyone else is always thinking about how cringey you are.
Here’s what I tried on Friday:
1) Did maths lesson 1 instead of 2 as it’s earlier in the morning
2) Used https://t.co/ukCOK7QTZe
The noise o meter website helped once they got over the urge to set it off. Generally they were quieter and I didn’t have to keep reminding them!
I’m finding maths lessons get quite noisy as they talk to each other about the work (mostly). English lessons are much quieter.. I’m not sure how to deal with this as I appreciate them learning from their friends but it continuously gets too loud :/ what can I do? @MrTs_NQTs
@MrsBurr1@MrTs_NQTs Hmm this does make sense, hadn’t thought about it like that. I do maths second because it’s a slightly longer slot. But I’ll try it out!

@JeremyJoseDean@MrTs_NQTs Yeah you’re right those are some good points, my main issue is that when I’m trying to help a child I can barely hear myself 😅 some of them have said they’re getting a headache. When I address it, they’re quiet for a min then it goes back.

@youseless478 Yeah that’s the appeal in the first place but idk, hearing people leave within a few weeks bc of the school is off putting 😅 all a lot to consider!
I see so many negative reviews of British schools in the Middle East, bad management who treat staff poorly and have no regard for their well-being etc. It’s honestly putting me off applying abroad now. #CollabUAE
@ShahZehrah I had an interview with a school who asked me how I’d deal with behaviour, which is normal. But I’m seeing reviews saying it’s like a zoo, management are afraid of parents and don’t support teachers with behaviour :/
You don’t know what to expect..
