Some of you don't realize how much of your personality can disappear when you don’t feel emotionally safe around someone. You become quieter. More careful with your words. Less playful, less willing to be seen. Some connections expand you. Others teach you to disappear.
I genuinely think one of the most intimate things in the world is wanting someone when you're tired. like woah I just had the longest day I've ever had in my entire life and I never wanna speak to anyone ever again but I really want you next to me.

3. coming home to an empty house.
4. cleaning when no one's home.
i think one of the loneliest parts of growing up is realizing that nobody really knows your whole story anymore. the people who knew you at 15 don't know who you became. the people who know you now weren't there for what shaped you. different eras, different people. we grew up.
“children are oppressed and are seen more as objects than humans” is one of those convos that nobody is ready for because of that second point, people don’t *really* see kids as people, just accessories to people.
