Two years down the line, the country is this poorly managed, I'll be a fool to grant such an interview. I'll be insensitive and stupid to talk about this "my choice" when it clearly is putting Nigerians in many troubles.

I'll be apologising for an error instead of recalling why I made the choice.

But you see, most people who support APC are evil, unrepentant, and wicked. To them, it's not about how the country is fairing, it's more about bragging rights, spite, and banter.

I want to tell you people the very root of this discourse surrounding Kene and his wife Stephanie. This might be a long read, but sit tight while I say something intriguing.

The root of this whole discourse, is that some of you (read as majority of Nigerians) have still not come to terms with the fact that marriage is simply a union between two people. It doesn’t have to be two “righteous and virtuous” people as you’ve been taught your whole life by religious leaders.

It doesn’t have to be a calm man and a virtuous woman. It is simply any two people who are ready to commit to each other for life and choose to come together. It can be two rapists, two murderers, one thief and one hair stylist, etc.

But because this concept is very hard to grasp, and this man and his wife do not fit into the lens that you have decided to carve out and look at them through, you believe his wife is deserving of sexual harassment and he is deserving of public ridicule.

If Mummy Zee posted a picture of her in gym clothes, none of you would comment that you want to split her nyash open. Even if one person did, nobody would bat an eye if her husband came for the person. Do you know why? Because she fits your lens of a what a perfect married woman should be and look like.

Dare I say that this is a very dangerous mindset to have btw.
