The amount of batter trade that goes on in rural areas is amazing. I needed some eggs to hatch and I know they go for about 20 shillings an egg . The chair lady has taken a bunch of bananas went to a neighbors home and has come back with a tray of eggs .
This happens all the time infact I helped someone with my car to go see his family when he brought it back there was a chicken in the boot . There is a mzee who lives in nachu ,he keeps bees and nothing else .He doesn't farm he just plants flowers and trees but he has a store for maize ,beens , potatoes and all farm produce.
This is how no matter how poor people are in the village, as long as you have something people need you can get anything you want . All the land demands is that you not be lazy.
