Happy Marriage Anniversary to Us
It has been twelve years since I made a solemn vow to love and protect you. Looking back, those vows were not mere rhetoric; they have been faithfully kept.
The good Lord has remained faithful to this union, and the evidence of His grace in our lives is beyond measure. For this, we are deeply grateful.
This anniversary, more than anything else, reminds me that the love we share transcends all circumstances. As we celebrate today, I promise to keep loving you in ways beyond imagination.
May Almighty God continue to bless this union and the fruits therein.
Happy anniversary to us. 💖
Yesterday, I joined my colleagues at the National Assembly to pay our last respects to the late Distinguished Senator Okechukwu Ezea at his country home in Itchi, Nsukka.
It was a very difficult and emotional moment for my family and me. The entire funeral ceremony brought back painful memories—memories shared with a man of deep conviction, late Senator Ideke. He was a complete gentleman who held firmly to his principles, even when he had to stand alone.
Ndi Enugu have lost a statesman. Nigeria has lost a true patriot.
Farewell, my dear senior colleague.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.
From Grassroots Sports to the World Stage.
Two years ago, we initiated the idea of Chimaobi Atu under 15 Grassroots football tournament. The mission was simple; develop raw talents at the local level and encourage them to move to National stage.
By the time the first leg of that tournament ended in 2023, Adoration FC sponsored by my very respected elder brother, Fr. Ejike Mabaka, won.
From Enugu, we supported the same team to play at he National Under 15 games in Abuja where we stood shoulders to shoulders. The team went on to play at Continental games in Ghana few weeks later.
Today, the Captain of that small local team in Enugu, David Edeh, and three of his team mates have been selected by Nigeria Football Federation to play for Uder 17 National Team.
The same young man has also been appointed the Captian of the National Team (Golden Eaglets).
This is the kind of news that reminds all of us to invest in young people no matter how small.
Congratulations to David and his team. I wish your team very best in Cote d'Ivoire. I am proud of your guys.
Our week-long training and empowerment programme on digital skills, soft skills, and basic artificial intelligence—designed to equip young people in Enugu North and South Federal Constituency—came to a successful end yesterday.
As the world continues to change, we must keep investing in our youth to prepare them for tomorrow’s economy. These essential skills will help them thrive in modern workplace and create remote job opportunities, no matter how small.
All the trainees received brand-new HP laptops (Intel Core i7), which will enable them to work more efficiently.
I urge all beneficiaries to make the most of this opportunity and continue to develop themselves.
We have a responsibility to keep investing in our youth; they represent our collective future.
We Can Make Our Public Schools Attractive Again
A few months ago, I visited several public secondary schools within my constituency, to ensure that all the students who secured the Chimaobi Sam Atu Foundation SSCE Scholarship were able to register for WAEC without issues. During those visits, my team and I made a disheartening discovery: most of the science laboratories were either in terrible condition or non-existent.
This was unacceptable — because science is not just a subject; it’s the foundation of innovation and the future of our youth. We knew we had to act — and do so in a way that departed from the conventional approach.
Three months later, I am proud to announce that we have not only renovated the conventional science labs in three public schools, but we have also introduced something truly transformative: Smart Mobile Science Laboratories.
These labs have now been successfully installed in:
https://t.co/OWXwRh5AFC Secondary School, Enugu
2. Comprehensive Secondary School, Akwuke
3. Community Secondary School, Ugwuaji
What makes these Smart Labs special?
They are fully mobile, collapsible, and equipped to carry out over 220 major science experiments, all aligned with the current SSCE curriculum. In other words, they are designed to bring quality, hands-on science education to life — wherever it's needed.
This is just the pilot phase. Our goal is to extend this innovation to all 24 remaining public schools in my constituency.
This is how we begin to change the face of public education in Nigeria
I join all Christian faithfuls to congratulate the new leader of the Catholic Church, Pope Leo XIV.
On behalf of the people of Enugu North and South Federal constituency, I pray for God's grace and wisdom upon the new Pope.
Congratulations His Holiness

@Optician_Mercy Did you also hear that I was a bus driver and a hunter? It is a free world. A bus driver who gave postgraduate students scholarships 11 years ago and some of the beneficiaries are senior University lecturers today.
Unfortunately, we are about 42 Federal Lawmakers from Labour Party in the House of Reps and Senate, but how many are on X responding to messages? Those who make conscious efforts to keep our Obidient family informed always are the ones attacked all the time.
Criticisms is a beautiful democratic norm but must be done with a sense of responsibility and love
Every challenge has an expiring date. It was our "Daddy", Mr Lamidi Apapa and now, our "dear brother," Mr Abure. Mr. former Chairman, Sir, you can now go home and take care of yourself. Allow us to put the pieces together.

@MoetFrank37237 My dearest brother, did you also hear that I was a bus driver and hunter? This is a free world; anyone can say whatever they think. I was elected by my people to work; that is what I have been doing. That is what I will continue to do. If a politician joins another party, he or she announces it and resigns from the party before moving to the next one. Maybe, some of these folks signed the letter for me or defected on my behalf
Yesterday, I had the privilege of Commissioning a block of six classrooms we attracted to Coal Camp Primary School Ogbete Enugu. This school, from the report available, was first constructed in 1924; one of oldest in Enugu state.
During the campaigns, the people of Coal Camp requested the reconstruction of this lone school block. SDG and our office started working on this project in September last year. ST. Patrick's Catholic church and Labour party wards 5 and 6 all played a huge role.
Today, the pupils and teachers can now enjoy learning without the fear of their class collapsing on them.
It may not have solved all the problems, but we have at least made the environment conducive for learning.
We have a responsibility to encourage public education.
The demise of Hon. Chief Dubem Onyia, Former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and former House of Representatives Member, came to us as a rude shock.
Chief Dubem Onyia left at the time his wise counsel and support were most needed. He was indeed a thorough Statesman and a consumate leader who played a key role during the struggles for democratic rule in 1998/1999. His commitments to the country and our dear State were unwavering.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his immediate family at this time. On behalf of the people of Enugu North and South Federal constituency, accept my sincere condolences.
