@sloppyposts I do think taking them off at the door is better but it's kind of annoying if ur house doesn't have a proper foyer/the entrance is a cramped hallway

@sloppyposts it's a very common thing, but you can't rlly universally attribute it to Americans. In my house we were never in the habit of removing our shoes at the front door, but we pretty much just take them to our bedrooms and then not wear them in the house.
