@TheDreamShrine @AstralDepthsTR I am just not sure what kind of sequel people are imagining that is more of a direct sequel than TOTK is. BOTW is very wrapped up at the end. TOTK is a direct result of it. Clearly they could have done it better since these complaints are very common, but I was not bothered.

@WindMageMaster @nurlowe_swints @MrJmZack Lining up Skyward Sword map's landmarks puts the desert in the NW. AoI puts the desert farther North. OOT Remake puts the desert farther North. BOTW era Hyrule Ridge is filled with trees that are shown to grow in water. Lore from SS is that this area was formerly under water.

@nurlowe_swints @MrJmZack @WindMageMaster In Nintendo’s eyes, the early Hylians were Queen Sonia’s era. Under Refounding and I can’t even begin to think of an explanation for why Sonia would have a random Kokiri from tens of thousands of years ago’s body paint.

@nurlowe_swints @MrJmZack @WindMageMaster Sure, there are a few things, but easily the biggest is the Kokiri’s body paint. Under True Founding, this is a sensible design choice to reflect the lore in Zelda Encyclopedia that the Kokiri split off from early Hylians when they were first establishing their way of life.

@nurlowe_swints @MrJmZack @WindMageMaster The website shows the timeline from the Encyclopedia first followed by the timeline from Master Works. The evidence we have already seen from OOT Remake is much more convincing to me that Nintendo is not operating under Refounding than the website update.

@nurlowe_swints @MrJmZack @WindMageMaster That castle was built by the next generation after Rauru. So they probably rediscovered this Temple of Time when they migrated from the Great Plateau to Central Hyrule.

@nurlowe_swints @MrJmZack @WindMageMaster Knowledge of the Triforce was causing problems which is why Light Sage Rauru hid it. If you look on the new OOT Remake map, the Temple of Time is next to Hyrule Castle in Central Hyrule.

@nurlowe_swints @MrJmZack @WindMageMaster Because of this, similar events can get fused over the ages into one singular memory. The paintings in ALBW are an example of this. They don’t match exactly what we have seen, and the guard outside wonders if they really happened as painted.

@nurlowe_swints @MrJmZack @WindMageMaster I get you on these points you are making. The Ganondorfs overlap because one stems from the other. There is lore implying he had help from Koume and Kotake with being reborn into a new body while sealed. TOTK Master Works reaffirms the last male Gerudo lore.

@nurlowe_swints @WindMageMaster @MrJmZack Is there any part in particular that you dislike most about the True Founding idea? I ask that because for me, as the picture of Nintendo’s intentions became clearer, the less problematic it all began to seem to me.

@nurlowe_swints @WindMageMaster @MrJmZack And if the knowledge was around in her time then it certainly was around in Rauru’s time and the Gerudo of that era should not have been tricked. The exact problem this lore fixes for True Founding it leaves for Refounding.
