Many don’t realize that the first people Hitler sent to his concentration camps weren’t everyday Jewish citizens, but his political opponents. So, when Trump rants about retribution, locking up his opponents, and giving them “very long sentences,” I can’t help but take him seriously… because history teaches us that is what fascist dictators do during their “Day One” period to consolidate their power. (After all, if you’re hellbent on staying in power but aren’t likely to win the next election, you can’t have your political opponents running around free.)
To keep fascism out of our lives, vote for democracy!

There's been a lot of measured, well-mannered commentary from other makers of Twitter bots. I thought I'd share my uncensored thoughts instead.

Update 41: It's complete!
Future Cupertino, California
Been working on this drawing on and off for the last 3 years, it's been great to also see the progress @Cupertino4All has been making over the same time. Here's to a bright tomorrow with more housing in Silicon Valley 🐦
when someone confidently says "we need to rewrite the whole thing from scratch", what they mean is "i don't know how to read and navigate this".
look for the person who tells you how to rewrite parts of it without breaking the running system. they'll be quiet and sound unsure
New data: California has 12% of the US population but 30% of its homeless & 50% of unsheltered homeless.
Why? CA doesn’t have more mental health issues than other states.
Rather, it’s about housing. We have fewer homes per capita than other states. We must prioritize new homes.
