An ITBP commando serving on Amarnath Yatra duty has released an emotional video alleging that his family home was demolished in his absence. He claims officials demanded ₹1.2 lakh, selectively targeted his family, and ignored other allegedly unauthorized structures in the same area.
The soldier has appealed to the Chief Minister for a fair investigation and action against the officials he named. Authorities have not publicly responded to these allegations at the time of posting.

My aunt passed away on 29 May in Delhi at the age of 85. I applied for her death certificate on 4 June. The application was rejected once, all requested documents were resubmitted, and since then there has been been no progress.

What is particularly troubling is that during follow-up, I was allegedly asked for a bribe, and officials have made unreasonable demands such as asking for her children to verify her death (she was unmarried) or for her father to verify it. Her younger sibling is 81 and immobile, while my father is 89.

This is not just about one death certificate. It is about the experience ordinary citizens face when dealing with public services. If an educated family with resources is struggling, I can only imagine what less privileged citizens go through.

I have already filed a complaint through the @LtGovDelhi Listening Post platform, but several previous complaints related to civic services remain unresolved. Complaint ID 2026016323

Requesting @MCD_Delhi, @gupta_rekha and @CMODelhi to look into this matter, ensure accountability, and help expedite a process that should not be this difficult for grieving families.

Let me summarise this for you...

This is the picture:

-A religiously-motivated, unfalsifiable premise;
-A dedicated funding line that could only ever reward positive outcomes and pre-planned confirmation;
-So-called published "science" sitting at the bottom of the evidence hierarchy with no translational pathway built or even planned;
-A sponsoring ministry that won't show its books; and
-An opportunity cost measured against every competitively-reviewed proposal in real Indian science that didn't get that Rs 98 crore.

Ultimately some compounds we already knew were in animal urine got identified.

Nothing that matters to a person or a society evolved from this colossal wastage of public funds.

1.5 months ago, after our campaign in which we exposed serious concerns regarding IAS officers and Jal Shakti Ministry awards, the official portal went offline.

Now comes a massive development from Barmer.

A local newspaper filed an RTI after our campaign seeking records of 91,000+ water tanks reportedly constructed under a public campaign. The same achievement cited for national level recognition.

The district administration’s response: Records Not Available.

Let this sink in.
• 91,000+ structures claimed
• Award granted at national level
• Public money involved
• But no district-level records?

If there are no records:
👉On what basis were awards recommended?
👉What data was sent to the Jal Shakti Ministry?
👉Who authenticated the numbers?
👉Where are the GPS locations?
👉Where are the work orders and payment files?
👉Where are the completion certificates?

Was the Ministry given verified ground data or just compiled figures on paper?

National honours are not social media badges. They require documentation, audit trails and accountability.

If records truly do not exist, this is not a clerical lapse. This is either gross administrative failure or deliberate misrepresentation.

The administration must answer clearly:
👉Were 91,000 tanks actually built?
👉If yes, show the files.
👉If no, who is responsible for sending inflated data to Delhi?

And if this newspaper report is false, then take strict action against the newspaper agency immediately.

Either way — the truth must come out. 🙏
