Creating for yourself doesn't mean giving up the opportunity to share your art with the world. That's not a greedy desire.

Creating for yourself first is asking what YOU want before making the art.

To never sacrifice your own voice in favor of attention.

@Ryan_Daigler Thank you! 💖

@Ryan_Daigler My mom one time cancelled my birthday just because I refused to give her a back massage. I kept telling her that it hurts my hands and I felt very uncomfortable, yet she refused. Typical of many Asian families, parents expect their kids to take care of them.

@itsazack Love that monster statue. I like that it’s an homage to Godzilla.

@Ryan_Daigler All they cared about is themselves and their ego. Pretty much presents the bullshit culture of “saving face” in many Asian families (mine included.)

[China-Kitty 🧧🐴🎋🏮 @ChinaKittyarts]

@Ryan_Daigler I really wish my family would stop treating their kids as trophies. It also irks me when they tried to force them into something just because their friends’ kids did the same thing.
