Yesterday was just an appetizer for Tuesday in my opinion (it’s looked that way for a few days now). All ingredients are in place for a widespread, significant severe weather outbreak. This will certainly warrant another high-end MDT or HIGH risk.

Over 60 preliminary #tornado reports from yesterday's bimodal tornado outbreak. At least 6 long track supercell modes that produced significant tornadoes. We ended up on the long tracker #1 in the southern end of northern mode, with the more ENE motion. RAP suggested a pinched triple point, but southeast IA was the mainstream target. Southern mode tragically caused a lot of damage and also loss of life in AR. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those impacted by these storms.

Freshly plowed under alfalfa, crop was getting weak and it was time for corn. Will provide enough nitrogen for the corn that we don’t have to apply any. #Plant22 #corn22

Out here rolling our lespedeza/wheat in hopes of getting a cutting off it. Hoping to cut for hay, harvest wheat and run cattle in it this fall. We shall see. #Plant22 #farming
