Tinubu in Jos Confirms ‘Don't Vote for Me’ Prediction on Power Supply
During the 2023 campaign, President Tinubu made a clear electoral promise: “If I don’t give you constant electricity in four years, don’t vote for me for a second term.”
When he took office in 2023, Nigeria had a power supply of over 4,000 megawatts and lower tariffs. Today, the electricity power supply is less than 4,000 megawatts on the average, and Nigerians are paying higher tariffs. Nigeria currently has the lowest per capita electricity consumption in the world, with a rate below 30% of the African average. Africa’s average is 617kwh, Nigeria’s is 144 kWh. This means that Nigerians consume least electricity than other Africans.
In a glaring display of disregard for promises and a lack of trust, President Tinubu, during a brief airport stopover to visit grieving families of the Jos attack on Thursday, April 2, 2026, stated that one of the reasons for his 10-minute stay was that the airport had no electricity. “You have no light here I fly out in ten minutes” At a time when Nigerians are enduring days without power, our leaders cannot even stay a few minutes without it.
Now is the time to stop incompetent leaders—those lacking the capacity and compassion—who prioritise their own comfort over the well-being of the people and make empty promises.
A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO
@Mautiin01 People like this make me laugh😆. God means Government of the Day 🤣
Proverbs 3:5 says feed your enemy? In what Bible? 🤔
Please sir if you want to debate a topic, learn about it first.
@gtbank the only part of your business that works and fulfills the purpose of such an establishment is Marketing communications.
The rest of your business seems to have collaborated with the Nigerian government to frustrate innocent Nigerians.
Please resolve customer issues
@gtbank_help please respond to your customers. I have been trying to get a hold of a representative for days.
If the phone lines are no longer active don’t ask us to call when we have issues.
How else do you expect us to get issues resolved?!!!
@AfrichangeHQ How did my money just disappear into thin air? For 2 weeks all I’ve been getting is apologies?
If you have stolen the money just say so
Your platform won’t be the first to be a financial fraud
@AfrichangeHQ Please refund my money!!
It’s unfortunate that I used your app.
I really never liked the way the app was run but you keep showing ridiculous rates.
Now the rates have skyrocketed in these 10days that you have been working to resolve the issue.
This all looks fraudulent
@AfrichangeHQ @iamkingayodeji Hello @AfrichangeHQ this is the end of the 2nd week and no refund.
If there are no plans to refund the money just say so. You won’t be the first financial platform to defraud people. It’s better than stringing us along with endless apologies.
This is ridiculous
@AfrichangeHQ Hello @AfrichangeHQ kindly report on the status of the funds.
It’s been almost 2 business weeks.
What sort of poor service is this?
When people boycott your platform and your business goes down, just look inward and blame yourself
What kind of service is this?
@AfrichangeHQ Good day @AfrichangeHQ .
This is a new week and I expect that your “issues” with our funding would be resolved in the next 2/3 business days.
Thank you for your cooperation.
@AfrichangeHQ I have filled out the google form you sent.
I believe 2/3 business days should be enough to figure yourself out.
It is very obvious that there is no contingency plan for things like this and this business is run by amateur entrepreneurs.
Get your act together
@AfrichangeHQ I’d really appreciate it if the generic CS responses can just stop, and you provide an actual solution.
I have given all the necessary information to the support team.
- Proof of transaction, account details and session ID from the initiating bank.
Please!!!
@AfrichangeHQ You work in a competitive market and people are trying to take your business seriously yet you take your customers for granted.
You should actually work on resolving issues and stop this PR damage control nonsense.
I’m tired of engaging your very poor support team
@peaceitimi please I need your help to
Contact @AfrichangeHQ
I need an issue resolved urgently and their help/support is really terrible.
They just leave generic messages.
I don’t even know how many of us trust our money to a platform with no presence. It is such a risk
