Treasure Planet (2002) was one of Disney’s boldest experiments, blending hand-drawn animation with early CGI. It flopped on release but aged into a cult favorite.
Some of my favorite realistic animal animation was in Guardians of Gahoole, I still don’t think I’ve seen anything that’s topped it for me personally. The characters all express so well while still looking almost exactly like real owls, it’s all so pretty to watch🥹
one of my art goals this year is to CREATE personal art that are POLISHED
not just sketches, not just doodles and studies, but actual original and creative art
