Basically my beef with 343 comes down to this:
They assassinated Halsey's character
They assassinated Cortana's character
They assassinated Micky's character
They killed off the rookie
They made the Spartan IIs and Chief whimpy, whiny and tried to replace them in 5
They injected their retarded ideas of the UNSC and humanity being evil
And they made forerunners into gay furries
Also, they made me read a shit ton of books that weren't good because of my love for Bungie's Halo books and games
Fuck you 343i, rest in piss
Didn't you shit, piss and cry over orange man getting elected? Why should anyone listen to your emotional, low testosterone ass when you act like a whiny eight year old girl?
Halo's for the Chuds, ya bitch ass cuck
And yet Bungie fans, the ORIGINAL FANS
Were ignored for 15 years
Idgaf if you liked some shitty games, the consensus is 343 was shit and deserved what they got.
The lore deserves to get shitcanned too
@bentoDRAWS This is pure revisionism.
No, it was made for modern Halo fans with ultimately minor concessions for Bungie fans.
I am not looking to compromise
@T1g3rs65 That wasn't them listening, that was them not knowing what the hell they were doing
I will cede that *maybe* they listened with infinite. But blacklisting influencers and playtesters for being "too critical" doesn't inspire confidence they were
One of the most vital things Activision must do right now is definitively adopt a “Halo standard.”
This is a series of guidelines meant to establish the identity of the Halo franchise going forward. The following things must be codified into Activision Halo law:
1: Forerunner = Human
The entire covenant war means nothing under the 343 lore and so does Reclaimer. The Human/Forerunner connection is ultimately the foundation of the entire franchise.
2: Art style must be recognizable immediately as Halo.
Halo 2 level of grit and Halo 3 level of spectacle and awe. Distinct grounded identity for Spartans. Classic Covenant designs. Ensemble did a great job of this when making Halo Wars. Remember Halo is a Military SciFi not a SciFantasy. Halo is more Starship Troopers than it is Star Wars.
3: Classic core gameplay.
I’m not asking you to remake Halo 3 every few years but seeing how the past 19 years have seen us consistently drift further from Halo 3 and never recapture what Halo 3 delivered, I’d say it couldn’t hurt to look backwards.
*No Sprint
*Focus on core “fun” factor (Halo is a party game first and competitive game second, both are important)
*Arena gameplay. More specific HALO GAMEPLAY. Not Halo+CoD or Halo+Titanfall.
Make a HALO game.
4: Story architects
Make the story that Eric Nylund and Joe Staten would craft together. Better yet get those two guys in a room together. Pay them properly. Let them deliver for you. If they can’t/won’t return then HEAVILY read their prior works and go from there.
5: Sound/Music:
Marty
In closing: Halo should be the easiest slam dunk. The recipe has been there forever, but the last cook decided they knew a better way to make it and as a result ruined the entire thing.
Just make a Halo game. It’s all we want.
Bitch these are basic talking points
>Fucked up the art style
>Fucked up the story
>Added mtx
>Added shitty mechanics nobody liked
>Blocked fans who criticized them
>Blacklisted Halo Influencers for criticizing them
There's a shit ton fucking more
They tried to turn it around with infinite, but that was too little, too late
'basic conversation' my ass. If you haven't been paying attention, why should I waste my time with you?
@prritosempai You're the one commenting on all my posts
Clearly my statements bother you
So maybe you should step back and see that you're sucking the dick of a dead studio that deserves everything it got, and never made anything of significance
@Eddsrt3 You're retarded if you think it's failures were because of the fans
Infinite was a turn for the better, but it was too little and far too fucking late
Just so no one forgets... When 343/Halo Studios died, the 343 fans blamed the Bungie fans... For not... Buying... 343 games...
Meaning, by pure argument of sales, marketing, and degraded fan trust; 343's games were not as good as Bungie's.
And anyone who says sales ≠ good games is appealing only to the emotional gamer and not the rational one.
Which means they don't actually care if the game is good, only how they feel about it.
Quite simply, make good halo game, halo fans will be fine.
Make bad halo game, halo fans will say its shit.
Its why weve been saying 343 games are shit. Cause they are bad. Its not that hard to understand.
@ForgottnUsrname Nah, it's all about Y2K american GWOT vibes
I get what you're saying now, but my entire point is the stars belong to us
You're trying to poke holes in something purely vibe based, ya dumb bitch
