A lesson I learned early in my career was that one of the keys to better communication is to simply “shut up” and listen in a way that makes others feel they are being heard and what they say is valued.
One of the most important jobs of a leader is to create an environment where people can be their best and do their best work. A leader works to remove obstacles to success and should never be the obstacle.
