Nigeria is expanding naval shipbuilding in Lagos to reduce reliance on foreign vessels and strengthen maritime security. The navy is locally producing and maintaining patrol boats used against piracy, oil theft, and smuggling.
Al Jazeera’s Ahmed Idris reports.
Global geotechnical experts of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering visited Eko Atlantic City for a technical presentation on the engineering behind the reclaimed city and the Great Wall of Lagos - from advanced geotextile systems to
accropode coastal protection designed to withstand extreme Atlantic Ocean.
There are also engineering drawing to connect lagos state Railway programmes to the sight...
Here’s one thing I really, really like about P BAT. A few weeks ago, someone raised an alarm about vandalism on the Lagos Calabar Coastal Road barricade, and today, it’s already being fixed, with a better method to reduce future vandalism.
There are leaders we both know that, no matter how much you complain, it would take months before anything is done. But in this case, it took barely over a week from when the video surfaced to when action was taken.
A leader who listens is a good leader, regardless of differing opinions. And it’s not just about listening,it’s also about the willingness to do things the right way.
Kudos to the President for showing concern and taking action.👍🏻
