@Re2pectsport It’s not an argument for Texas being in. It’s an argument for maintaining the existence of marquee non-conference.
If we want good OOC games to remain, then we should let Texas in.
What is preventing the Catholic Church from giving the Catholic 7 like $25 mil a year so we can just be nasty at basketball and also spread the word of God?
@AggiesToday This is the most reasonable take I’ve seen against it. Still, the being in the SEC takes care of SOS concern so tough nonconference games make zero sense now. Bummer cuz we all want em.
They play a cupcake = in. Committee has a decision to make.
@MattGalatzan Texas fans are absolutely valid to question the OSU scheduling because it’s directly within their control, and would be in with a cupcake instead.
Not arguing that they should be in, clearly a flawed team. But what’s the point of it if being in the SEC takes care of SOS?
@FortyAcreVibes Sark’s demeanor after this game was noticeably different. I think he realized just how tenacious this team is.
I still feel like we go 2-2 the rest of the way, one of those wins being against A&M or Georgia. 2nd half offense showed me the 3 phrases are there, just has to click.
@FortyAcreVibes I feel like this team is teetering on the verge of a psychological breakdown/disaster game. Defense giving 100% time after time only for the QB to miss open passes and o-line to get manhandled every drive.
Bad dynamic to have with the talent Texas has.
@NashTalksTexas 5. I see an immensely talented young team that lacks confidence and identity. I think there’s more adversity to face; the good news is, if your program is mature enough, these losses create a more unified and experienced team.
No natty but sark will figure it out.
@FortyAcreVibes I agree. The good news is that I think the seasoned, confident Arch everyone wants is about a year away from now. The bad news is it might take a lot of failure this season to get there.
We will see but Sark may have to make some program adjustments in the meantime.
