@calstanvard It’s crazy because in all seriousness, it really does not matter who the next coach is. As long as the Kings are in the Luc era, it’s going to be the same shit every year, especially with the GMs he is hiring onto the organization
For as much as I want to dunk on the Oilers for wasting another year of McDavid, I hope this sends shockwaves to @AEGworldwide and triggers the necessary changes to the Kings, Stolly.
Throw all the caveats you want at it, the Kings getting swept and losing in the first round for the 5th straight year while ANA beats the Oilers in round 1 is a terrible look for the Kings and yet another reminder of how poorly they’ve managed their roster in that time.
Kings President Luc Robitaille appointed Ken Holland as GM to help push the team closer to contention, but instead, they moved even further away from it.
This franchise is completely lost.
Panarin - Kopitar - Kempe
Moore - Byfield - Kuzmenko
Armia - Laughton - Laferriere
Turcotte - Helenius - Wright/Ward
This is the lineup I envision, not that DJ would ever considering his philosophies. Need speed and skill. You could even switch Panarin and Kuzmenko if you wanted to. I feel like everyone forgets that Turcotte did well on the wing too

You could switch Panarin and Kuzmenko if you want. Idk, this seems very much obvious on what it should be. You need skill and speed right now. Not “checking” lines. For anyone that says it’s too “risky”, my counter to that is the Kings are down 0-3. So, yeah, it wasn’t working before either.
