Food companies don't need to make their products intentionally addictive for bigger profits. They just need to make them both wildly delicious and non-filling. $$$
The healthiest people I’ve met don’t do the following:
-eat protein bars
-drink shakes and smoothies
-stay up late
-jog
-sip plain water all day from a tumbler when they’re not thirsty
More than 100M Americans (41% of adults) carry over $5,000 in medical debt.
I’ve yet to meet someone who’s drowning in debt from investing in nourishing food, quality sleep, and minimal exercise.
Pfizer's CEO announced at the shareholders' meeting that “revenue is down 72%, but here's the silver lining – Americans' more healthy lifestyles means fewer of our meds are needed”. The room burst into thunderous applause!
Just kidding. That didn’t happen.
My top 7 things to do to have exceptional mental health (in order of importance)

*Lift weights
*Reduce alcohol
*Aim for nightly A+ sleep
*Cut daily sugar consumption from 43 teaspoons to 9
*Don’t consume news
*Practice gratitude
To enjoy life, you have to have energy.
To have energy, you have to be fit.
To be fit, you have to eat nourishing food.
Eating nourishing food is one of the best ways to enjoy life. 🔁
If you make protein the main component of your meals, avoid non-nourishing foods, head off to bed early, lift weights, and go on regular walks, you’ll be healthier than 95% of the US.
4) Walk.
Don’t poo poo on walking. This is the most important and underrated exercise by far If you had to pick just one exercise for a lifetime, forget deadlifts, squats, kettlebells, or battle ropes. Walking is and will always be #1!
3) Work out with weights.
Ditch the treadmills, ellipticals, Stairmaster®s, and spin classes. Lift weights. And not with the cute little plastic Jillian Michaels ones. Lift the heaviest weights you can muster without exploding your lower back.
In fact, they may even be a net negative if those workouts require you to recover on the couch for the next 24 hours, increase your cravings for carby junk, and give your muscles prolonged soreness.
2) Aim for shorter intervals with more intensity.
Forget those daily 45-minute jogs or those hour-long HIIT classes. Working out for long periods of time with medium intensity isn’t doing you any favors.
Almost everyone I know who’s my age wants to lose some weight.
Not everyone I know who’s my age wants to cook their own meals, put meat and fruit in the grocery cart, work out on days they don’t feel like it, reduce alcohol, go to bed early, and do it for more than 2 weeks.
