BDK Thread:
There's a known tech for BDK called "Slingshot" which involves inputting a BDK in the direction you're moving towards and then reversing it afterwards
Slingshot increases BDK's range and speed substantially (range by about 40-50% and speed by about 3-4 frames)
@CharlieHaruno ...your character jumps, causing the aerial to always match whatever direction your want to drift in (what your left stick is pointing to) as opposed to whatever your c-stick is pointing to - which leads to many misinputs.
@CharlieHaruno All in all though, the controls in Smash are still designed/programmed in a bad way as in Ultimate there is the opposite of what happens in 4, where if you buffer an aerial while in lag, the *left* stick will overwrite your c-stick direction of the right stick on the frame...
@MajorSSB ...the very next frame has no hitbox, so it can't hit the opponent.
Virtually any move that hits low and clanks with Ganon F-Smash will have this same result.
@MajorSSB ...electric hitboxes which are always -8 on clank. IE: Ganon jab)
If an attack deals more than 11% than the other, that char won't go into recoil and the hitbox will hit the opponent on the next frame.
Because F-Smash is only active for a total of 1 frame in front of Ganon...
@UltimateSonix Ah pero, e que tu ere un charlatan. Yo tengo que tener uno por aqui. Es solo para prenderlo? Porque yo tengo hasta la tableta y un wii u que funciona.
@galaxy_otr @UR2SLOW_@al_tarkait You are correct. Clank rules are dependent on damage. As long as the damage is within 9% (11% in 1v1, it will clank).
It's the reason you see the video charging the Smash as it wouldn't naturally clank with stuff like Ganon's smashes unless charged.
@ScrawtV Picking up another Fighting Game or another character in the same Fighting game does not work even remotely the same. You have to learn a bunch of completely unrelated (to gameplay) systems just to get over the entry barrier
@ScrawtV As an example - A decent MOBA player can play any other MOBA to a very similar level if they knew all the abilities/interactions that exist in the game.
You can pick up a most characters almost immediately with very little actual practice and do fairly well.
I just want one Ocarina of Time Remake that includes:
- modern standard for graphics (duh)
- more engaging combat seen in later 3d Zeldas
- Hyrule Field populated with more people and things to do
- More sidequests
- being able to get Epona as young link
@SandstormMcD@KevinScrima@TheNCSmaster Legitimately mathematics and code is actually extremely light on ROM data. The vast vast majority of disk space is just art assets.
Things like physics and (dynamic) lighting are mostly taxing on RAM.
