@PinkfrogDesign Hi Lisa, Yes, many petitions will take them to be recycled through Vision Aid (or at least used to before the pandemic - it's worth checking your local one) There is also an organisation called Chichester Lions Club who work with opticians in developing countries:)
β¨ Quick two hour session last week.
Any sentimental items were put aside in the box to the left, and everything else was a clear "needs to stay" or "can go".
Starting on areas with few or no sentimental items can give you some "easy wins" and spur you on in your decluttering.
Today marks the start of @apdouk's Spring Clearing Week. The event aims to raise awareness of the decluttering industry, and the positive effects decluttering can have on your home and wellbeing.

At a virtual networking meeting we spoke about starting our businesses. I shared that early on I would go home and sleep after networking meetings because it was so overwhelming!
π± Looking back at how far we've come is just as important as looking at where we're heading. π»
Today I am grateful to my past self for writing my to-do list for today.
I wanted to fully take the weekend off and be present for mother's day and a family birthday celebrations.
I can switch off more fully if I know that I've prepared for the coming week.
Coming back to my desk and seeing the list I put together on Friday is a real comfort because I can just pick up where I left off.
π»What are you grateful to your past self for?
π±What can you do today to help out your future self?
@actionhappiness 's March calendar is all about mindfulness.
π Noticing and appreciating sights, sounds, and sensations around us.
πBeing present with friends and family, really listening to what somebody is saying.
π§ Observing our thoughts and feelings without judgement.
One of the great things about gratitude is that it can remind us not to take things for granted, many of our experiences are fleeting and once they're gone they're gone, so focussing in the moment can help us to enjoy them more fully.
Strangely enough we're very good at focussing in the moment on our suffering. But if we remember that our painful moments will also pass, this can help us to see the bigger picture of our lives.

zoom out on the bad stuff. π
