A H4 spouse can only work after a i140 approval. Which takes years (avg. 4/5 years). Two, don’t blame everyone for the sake of blaming.

@Cloudwatch199 There are definitely bad actors who abused the h-1b program. There were cases where Americans were affected. The current situation seems blown out of proportions because we didn’t acknowledge the abuse and started lecturing anyone who shown frustration. That’s not right!

@SanDiegoKnight @Cloudwatch199 Reality: ~65K new H1Bs/year. Max validity = 6 years, so <390K should be active at any time. But due to indefinite green card backlogs, over 730K H1B holders remain stuck in status limbo — waiting years for petitions to be adjudicated.
