"I own about a dozen others, and the Legacy is the only one I’ve wanted to use since I bought it a few months ago. I feel confident saying this is my “end game” razor."
Antikythera Mechanism, c. 100-150 BC.
The mechanism had several dials and clock dials, each with a different function for measuring the movements of the sun, moon, stars, and planets, but were all operated by a single main crank. There were small stone or glass spheres moving on the front of the machine to show the motion of Mercury, Venus, Mars, Saturn, and Jupiter in the sky. (NAMA - National Archaeological Museum in Athens, Greece). The mechanism also had dials that count the days according to different calendars. For example, a solar calendar that shows 365 days of the year and a lunar calendar that counts a 19-year lunar cycle. The mechanism's calendar dial could turn the scale back every four years to compensate for the extra quarter of the astronomical year. It's really incredible. The Antikythera Mechanism shows that the Ancient Greeks had the technology to make complex mechanical assemblies. According to some experts, this technology later passed to the Arab world and then moved to Europe. The truth is that something like this would not reappear until the 14th century, when the oldest gear clocks began to be built in Europe.
One of only two authentic old Jolly Rogers known in the world. The red background meant that she ship flying the flag would take no prisoners if their opponents put up a fight. The 18th century pirate flag is now on display at the National Museum of the Royal Navy.

@JoDonaldsonArts@hankgreen it takes minutes, but you have very little control of the outcome. The AI interprets your verbal input and generates 4 images to match - after that, you can evolve it by choosing which of the 4 images matches what you are looking for best.
I'm keeping my 3d printer hopping. Currently printing Altoids tin inserts to hold the machine finish razors and individual handles for shipping - the bag just isn't classy enough.
Busy printing a motion activated bathroom fan for my old house... I should probably do things right and install a commercial unit in the ceiling rather than shove something in the window... But I'm not.
Hey #telecom#telephone#80smusic tweeps: some guy decided to dial 867-5309 (Tommy Tutone's "Jenny" song) in every area code in US & CA to see what he got. https://t.co/4f23xRASZd
