say a prayer for my iron. after ten years of dedicated service, i bumped it over and it cut it's own cord in half.
rest in peace, cheap iron my mom bought me from walmart as a going-away-to-college gift. 🙏🫡
me, ten months later: whoops i'm back! :^) i'm working on drafting/fitting the pattern, which is my least fav part of any project lol
luckily it's a super simple design, so it shouldn't take long! hopefully i can finish it fairly quickly so I can sneak in a dandadan cos for ala
While sick I started a bit on 11-year-old me's favorite villain! She's quite simple, so hopefully I can finish her pretty quickly so I can get started on my next project (which I foolishly gave myself a deadline for).
For the bodysuit I got this really fun reptile-texture fabric from Joann. I'm going to dye it pure black, but I think it'll add some nice texture! I'll probably use some left over white pleather from Jessie & James for the eyes on her hood, but idk
@smolcano Thank you so much!! I wasn't expecting anything and was just hoping I'd get a chance to get some helpful feedback from the judges, so it was a lovely surprise!
I won a judge's choice award at the Anime/Animation Costume Contest at Dragoncon!? I was super surprised, but it was so nice to have all the work that went into this be validated :') I have more work I want to do on her, but after that I'm excited to start a new project!
I'll upload some nice pics later but I just won a judge's choice award at the Dragoncon Animation Costume Contest!! :') I have a lot of growing to do, but I'm!!! I'm so overwhelmed rn ❤️❤️❤️❤️
So I know I said I was gonna start on Medusa next but then I remembered I made a commitment to finish Jinx for an event later this year and I'm slow af so!! Here we go!!
I still gotta weather everything, restyle the bangs (I packed the wig then unpacked it for this pic, I'm gonna fix it at the con), do a few other small wearability touch-ups, and actually put the costume on correctly (I didn't glue down the lacefront or close the boot tops) BUT!!
