Nigeria problem is unplanned system.
Every time a new governor takes office, development often starts from scratch because there’s no continuity in policy.
We don’t need to reinvent the wheel every four years. We need a system where development outlives political tenures.
IMO POLICE COMMAND, SISTER AGENCIES INTENSIFY EFFORTS TO RESCUE ABDUCTED CORPS MEMBERS, ARREST SUSPECTED ABDUCTORS
The Imo State Police Command, led by the Commissioner of Police, CP Audu Garba Bosso, in collaboration with sister security agencies, has deployed tactical teams and operational assets to rescue the abducted corps members and other passengers and to arrest the suspected abductors.
The incident occurred at about 0630hrs on 1st October, 2026, along the Owerri-Onitsha Road, by Umunoha. Two buses conveying NYSC corps members and other passengers from Ibadan to Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, and Bende, Abia State, respectively, were attacked by suspected armed men.
Following a swift response by the Police and other security agencies, both buses have been recovered and 10 victims were rescued at the scene. The rescued victims are in safe hands and are being attended to. The exact number of persons abducted is being verified and will be made public once confirmed.
Operatives are conducting coordinated search and rescue operations, backed by intelligence-led tracking of the suspects.
The Commissioner of Police, alongside other Service Commanders, visited the scene for an on-the-spot assessment and to give operational direction. He assured the public that the Command will sustain the operation until all victims are safely recovered and the suspects are brought to justice.
The Command is working with the NYSC Directorate to reach the families of the affected corps members, who will be kept informed as the situation develops.
The affected section of the expressway has been reopened and traffic is flowing. Security personnel remain deployed to protect commuters.
The Command appeals for calm and urges the public to remain vigilant. Anyone with credible information should report to the nearest police station or contact the Command's emergency lines. All information will be treated in confidence.
Further updates will be issued as the situation progresses.

Come here and laugh at "tOmaTo fActOry gUy" if you dare.
First you laughed, now he's shut you up, then you go back and look at your stupid, small self in the mirror and realise you need to clean your room.
Ibrahim Traoré is not your mate!
I looked up the amount of money federal is spending on different region in Nigeria,
Here is what I found;
North West is N2.2 trillion
North East is N400billion
North central is N1.1trilion
South South is N2.13 trillion
South East is N401billion
South West is N4.3 trillion!
This is how you control development and migration in Nigeria.
“People say the Chinese make engines while Nigerians pray. But what many don’t understand is that nations have callings. Nigeria’s calling is to send missionaries into the whole world.” — Apostle Arome Osayi
The most dangerous type of person you will ever meet is the person who is smart enough to make you think they’re stupid.
They appear dumb. They act dumb. They move dumb. They talk dumb.
They want you to constantly underestimate them. They don’t want you to understand them.
But beneath all that tomfoolery is a highly efficient person. Ruthless. Calculating. Dangerous.
They’ve perfected the art of hiding in plain sight.
The first place Shell began its petroleum exploration in Nigeria was not Oloibiri. It was in a place called IHO, in present-day Ikeduru, Imo State. And that was in 1937. Shell's early oil exploration work concentrated around the Owerri/Okigwe/Umuahia areas in present-day southeastern Nigeria.
In 1951, Shell drilled the Iho well, which was their No. 1, and it was the country's first deep-test well. It reached roughly 11,000 feet. The analog technology available at that time made it difficult for them to produce from the hydrocarbon reservoirs in that field because of the gas-oil ratio. Hence, by 1957, they moved deep south into the creeks, and in a place called Oloibiri in present-day Bayelsa, they struck commercial volumes of oil from a well with relatively less trapped gas. The Iho field was plugged and abandoned thereafter, as they moved out of Shell camp, Owerri, to Oloibiri.
If you're a Petroleum Engineer, you'd know that technology plays a crucial role in turning around wells into production wells.
Decades later, the organic-rich sedimentary basin in that geologic belt - is getting the attention it needed from better and more improved technologies.
Today, Shell has been proven right to have started its petroleum exploration from that basin. However, the technology available at that time has proven that it was never fit for the job.
So, I disagree with your breaking news that: "Crude Oil Has Been Discovered in Mbieri, Mbaitoli LGA, Imo State."
That field was discovered over eight decades ago. Today's tech-driven oil companies only deployed the technology that hits without missing. And those huge geological rocks that trapped both oil and gas in the same reservoir were eventually cut open, releasing their hydrocarbons safely.
Currently, there are oil wells currently undergoing constructions at the school campus of Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri. Residents and students around that area were served with quit notices and eventually evacuated from the site. And the surprising thing is that the entire stretch from Naze-Nekede-Ihiagwa down to Elele is sitting on hydrocarbons unknown to the residents of these communities.
I have talked about the Njaba-Ofekata III oil field, covering Awo-Omamma and stretching to many parts of Orlu. The question is: with all this oil wealth, why is Imo State recording the highest unemployment rate in the country?
If you are from Imo State, you don't know what God has done for you. However, the problem with you people is that you keep electing retired 419ers as your governors, while you sit in beer parlours eating ugba and nkwobi while strangers come in to marry off your women.
You people don't even care!
Many of you from that State don't even know that you are sitting on such stupendous hydrocarbon wealth.
God bless all of you ohh!
