@DillonCaraballo@Sean_W_Anderson I think people forget that this happens almost every year including last year. Going into the Draft Willits was ranked 5, 2024 Bazzana was 1 but was cheaper than the guys at 2 and 3. It’s super common for things to move In The days before. 2023 was similar to this year imo
@sportsin_cle The “bad team becoming good” part makes sense but I think the average white Sox fan slowed down on talking about them when they were bad, they didn’t ever stop being fans though. IU didn’t have fans at all 5 years ago
@Sean_W_Anderson They should have so much money to spend that 2 and 3 should be highly ranked Prep players. No reason to pass on ceiling in early rounds because they can afford everyone
@MolloyOnBase I think you have to explore moving Beni for anything. He’s playing well right now and if a team is looking for a left handed bat he may be attractive enough to take on.
@timtawa15@WhiSoxNationCHI If Billy Carlson has a league average bat he’s a 4 WAR player, I think people forget how elite his glove is. It’s Simmons esque.
@jayhaykid I don’t mind the “game got smarter on paper but dumber between the lines” comment. Fundamentals feel like they are at an all time low. Other than that it’s a horrible quote
@isureppin12 Lee will never catch another MLB game for the White Sox. He’s the 3rd best catcher in Triple A now and not on the 40 man. If they option Romo it’s Quero, if they DFA him it’s very likely Turner
@JamesFox917 I agree, that’s why we should always take as many of these high school upside guys in 2-10 rounds as possible, they have so much value from their potential even if they don’t have a hot start the rebuild value so fast.
@AdrianWhiteSox Take Carlson out and I’d do it. I honestly think Adam’s will be starting in Chicago before the deadline too so I’d be surprised if he’s moved
