This year, there has been little to no snowfall in Pakistan's northern areas. This signals an alarming shift in weather for the 'third pole' of the world & raises concerns about #climatechange impacts in the region, reports @AsifkhanJmc

In the current fourth phase of our movement, we aim to raise awareness nationally and internationally against ongoing rights abuses, enforced disappearances, and extrajudicial killings in Balochistan.
For this reason, we are undertaking several initiatives. One of many initiatives is organizing a conference beyond borders for oppressed people and launching various awareness campaigns in universities and colleges.
We aim to tell people nationally and internationally about the ongoing Baloch Genocide. We appeal to people especially the youth of Pakistan and worldwide to support d campaign against #BalochGenocide and encourage the spirit of Baloch women by supporting them and raising your voice for them everywhere.
Your solidarity is important to our cause.

What the Julia Hartley-Brewer tirade against Mustafa Barghouti tells us about Western journalism. My new column for Middle East Eye:

Read my Opinion Piece in which I tried to address the malicious media campaign against me and the families of missing persons, initiated at the behest of the caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan and the establishment. I also respond to those who continuously harass elderly ailing mothers who cannot even speak Urdu and are hearing "Punjabi laborers being killed in Balochistan" for the first time in their lives.

@GretaThunberg is speaking for Baloch people. May be now other Pakistani people can also open their eyes & see how inhumanely Baloch are being treated by Pakistani state. Balochs need the solidarity of worldwide activists.
#MarchAgainstBalochGenocide
A rogue State who doesn’t face any accountability on the treatment it metes out to Baloch people. No one cares if Baloch women are dragged by police. Still you want Baloch people to love Pakistan. Sorry No way.
#MarchAgainstBalochGenocide
Why do the Baloch protest?
The families of Baloch victims who have been forcibly disappeared have consistently demanded that their loved ones be released from the illegal custody of Pakistan's armed forces. They also demand that if they are suspected of any crime, they should be given a fair trial in court. Baloch human rights organisations say the number of abducted persons from Balochistan is in the thousands.
It's evident by the Siraiki poets & activists paying tribute to Baloch women by pen & being part of this #MarchAgainstBalochGenocide in these days that we stand in solidarity with the oppressed while welcoming as always & know how to living in world of Saanjh.

The unique aspect of this demonstrations, which should be called an uprising, is significant participation of women who actually lead the march.
In colonised Gilgit Baltistan violence is used unabatedly to suppress people demanding for basic rights and school children questioning illegal termination of their local teachers. I strongly condemn this act and demand restoration of local teachers immediately.
