Hi, i'm Chivano I do gamedev. sometimes I do gamedevelopment. currently working on a game where you can combine elements to take down your enemies. its still really early tho. So most things i post are unfinished!
>developer puts AIslop in game
>never announce the use of AIslop
>get caught
>oops guys, placeholders XDD plz no bully :D its not supposed to be in the game, we promise :D
@unitygames@UnityCodeMonkey Question: why.
Why did development resources go into this instead of improving the core engine? The only people I've seen positive about this is the usual Unity influencers, all real-world examples showed it was underdeveloped (like many other new Unity features) and useless?
Unfortunately, @itchio is overrun by slop. The assets are slop, the tools are 'vibecoded'. It's an endless stream of spam which takes away visibility from great human-made creations. It's honestly just a sad state, anything you can do - itch?
A behind the scenes look at the level editor:
→ 1. Set player spawn
→ 2. Set NPC locations
→ 3. Adjust navmesh
Allows for very quickly integrating new assets into the game.
Everything vibe coded...
→ GPT 5.3 Codex
→ Opus 4.6
(always use both)
You can just make things.
-be Tech Corporations
-grabs up all the ram for Ai
-leave consumers in the dust with extreme price inflation and shortages
-many consumers are price-walled off med-high end Hardware
-Corporations like Nvidia "saves the day" by selling you Geforce now, play games on their servers without a beefy PC...for a "reasonable monthly fee"
-Arbitrarily places limits on how long you can play games on their service.
-So that you have to pay extra on top of your subscription to "increase the limit"
Another certified "you will own nothing and you will be happy" this time courtesy of Nvidia.
And of course, I am expecting a high likelihood that Ai Bruhs will jump into this post to try and say its not a problem.
Since my project was wayy to ambitious (rookie mistake) i have chosen to not continue it for now. I have started a new project! This one is gonna be way smaller and easier to make.
