Once Edu Gaspar moved on, an insider close to both summed it up simply.
Edu negotiated the number. The question was always:
“Is this a fair price?”
That approach shaped moves like Mudryk and Douglas Luiz - clean valuations, hard limits, walk away if it didn’t feel right.
Andrea Berta, on the other hand, negotiates the balance sheet. The conversation tends to shift to:
“How do I solve your accounting problem without hurting your football?”
That’s why his fingerprints are seen on structures around Viktor Gyökeres, Piero Hincapié, Cristhian Mosquera - agent-fee treatment, realistic add-ons, P&L benefit, deferred risk.
One negotiated price.
The other negotiates problems.
That’s the shift.
That clip of Haaland saying "stay humble" to Arteta at full-time after he'd just thrown a ball at the back of the head of Gabriel before running away and also asking 17-year-old debutante Lewis-Skelly "who are you".
You couldn't make it up. His head had gone.

Anfield pitch dangerous
Overwatered on purpose to slow down our play and accomodate their long ball tactic. Just look how slow the ball rolls. Every through ball slows down and timing when dribbling is off.
Worst part is how dangerous it is for players.

Bruno Guimarães
What a horrible man and player. Pure evil.
And shame on you VAR and @FA_PGMOL for letting this savage run free. Bringing the game into disrepute.

In one of the more memorable pre-match activities in October, in the hours before a north London derby against Tottenham, the Arsenal squad were told to hide coins in the shoes of a few players, while the coaches left the room. Mikel Arteta & his staff would then return & look their players in the eyes, before guessing who had the coins stashed in their trainers.
To demonstrate how closely they know them, the coaches said, by simply looking in their faces, they would be able to tell who was hiding something. The coaches were spot on. They had a whole squad to choose from & they did so correctly.
The players were in disbelief. Then came the big reveal - Arteta & his assistants had been watching through CCTV cameras the whole time. A sneaky trick, but one that prompted hilarity & washed away any tension that the players might have been feeling. A few hours later, Arsenal won 3-1.

My "Fuck it, I still believe" comp.
Whatever happens tomorrow, I am so thankful I’ve got to support this team this season. Let’s go to the Etihad without fear, we’ve got nothing to lose, we've already over-achieved this season.
