I went to see Ikenga in the cinema yesterday and it was an absolute cinematic pleasure. A solid 10/10, not a single complaint.

The way Igbo culture was projected was unbelievably beautiful. The costumes, the language, the characters fully embodying their roles. Everything felt authentic. I will pay money to watch it a second time.

I still cannot understand why some UK hotels have refused to install Air condition units in their rooms despite knowing the UK heat wave is now a recurring phenomenon during the summer. I am calling out @HolidayInn cos you can do better. This room was booked when the weather was okay and all of a sudden heat wave arrived.

A £200 room and one loser at the reception telling me we can give you an electric fan! Fan for what exactly? To be blowing hot air at me? You cannot be ripping customers off and thinking it is a good business model cos it is cheaper to run a hotel without having AC units. Ridiculous

Nigeria has now been delisted from the International Maths Olympiad, whose finals are happening in Shanghai, China, this July.

It is one of the most prestigious academic competitions in the world.

Nigeria can now only participate as an observer nation, while other countries can participate fully.

This was because of the Ministry of Education’s inability to fund students for 4 consecutive years through National Mathematical Center.

It’s a big shame for Nigeria.

I was born with sickle cell disease.

I had Crisis after crisis, constant pain, multiple organ damage by age 28. Doctors said I wouldn’t see 35.

During one brutal episode, I prayed like never before while hooked up to morphine. The pain vanished overnight.

Follow up tests showed my hemoglobin was normal. No sickle cells. Geneticists ran every test, markers for the disease had disappeared. I haven’t had a crisis in 4 years.

My hematologist calls me the walking miracle file.

Early this year, my colleague was kidnapped on her way home from work.

The parents ran hectar skelter to gather seven million naira after negotiating it from 10M.

After several loans and contribution from family and friends, they got the money after two months and delivered to the kidnappers.

The girl was released. She said there was no day that they were not gang rapped in the bush both morning and night.

The kidnappers selected their choice and temporarily Married them.

A woman to two men, some to three or four men.

Two weeks after her release, we lost her to su!cide.

This government is not just damaging the economy and people's life.

Myself and 3 other Nigerians have been unlawfully detained in Johannesburg airport for literally doing nothing, papers complete, visa valid and they literally just singled us out of the crowd for nothing, and onenof us's phone has been seized all day and hasn't been allowed to reach out to anyone. They are trying to take my own phone now, so I am putting this out so that the world knows that if anything happens to us, south Africa should be held responsible, please repost and tag the authorities concerned..
They are saying that they will detain us for no reason until God knows when.
We are telling them that we want to book another flight back home immediately and they are refusing that.

I remember how my husband met my dad with no plans and no communication 😂😂.

We wanted to go clubbing and he was to pick me up around 9pm. Meanwhile, I had convinced my dad that I would be going out with my girlfriend and would sleep over. Plans were in motion, but my immediate elder brother had already overheard my conversations.

He carried his mattress to the parlour and lay there. I was like, “What’s the meaning of this one?” He told me to “come and cross let me see”, that he would not touch me unless I wanted him to. I was so pained and told my husband what happened. He said no problem, that I shouldn’t quarrel with him.

The next day was Saturday. Around 5pm, we were watching a program when someone knocked. My dad asked me to check who it was. On opening the door, I saw my babe 😱. I froze and said “Jesus”. My brother asked who it was and came to the door. Immediately, I ran out through the back kitchen door and left the house for all of them 😂😂😂😂.

My brother was calling me, my husband was calling me 😂😂.

No man has ever visited me at home, and you want me to tell my father you are who? 😭😭
