This is insane! In Russia, a woman has been sentenced to 22 years in prison for helping Ukrainians.

Photographer and volunteer Nadine Geisler (real name — Nadezhda Rossinskaya) was sentenced to 22 years in prison.

The case is blatantly fabricated: officially — for “treason,” “financing terrorism,” and “calls against the security of the Russian Federation,” but in reality — for providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

Geisler evacuated animals and refugees, founded the initiative “Army of Beauties,” helped locate missing persons, and delivered medicine to war zones. All three criminal charges are based on a single post about collecting aid for the Ukrainian Armed Forces — which she says she didn’t even write.

The “Army of Beauties” is a volunteer movement formed after the start of the Russian invasion. Its members collected humanitarian aid for Ukrainian civilians and evacuated them from combat zones.

The trial was held in closed sessions in Belgorod. The sentence is one of the harshest handed down during the entire war. The same judge previously gave a 5-year sentence to a schoolboy for allegedly participating in a “terrorist organization.”
