Coaches need to look after themselves

With long (unsociable) hours, travel, complex problems to solve, sometimes a lack of sleep & good food - life for a coach can be tough

What additional information did you learn on the UEFA C? Were their any major changes in syllabus? Any drawbacks/benefits?

@RJPcoach Additional I use my whistle for ball mastery during actual football sessions. 1 whistle = change of speed, 2 whistles = change of direction etc. Encourages players to listen and focus on how many tunes I blow.

@RJPcoach I work a lot in schools with big classes with challenging behaviour. I’ve started using my whistle as a last resort. Classes are now conditioned to know that they need to listen when I talk/shout. Many children now know that if the whistle goes to my lips that it’s time to🤫&👂🏾

Cold weather for coaches =

▪️High ball rolling time
▪️Multiple small sided games
▪️Limit players standing as much as possible

Keep the tempo high, reward the hard work and keep it fun!
