Working with kids you realise how normalised violence has become, how casual it is to carry weapons. It shows the lack of priority when it comes to youth support/prevention work. Communities are suffering, kid are suffering and then things like this are happening more and more‼️

In 2021/22, NSPCC investigated 8389 calls of neglect, 6441 cases of physical abuse and 4418 case of emotional abuse. Approx 77% of these were in home settings by parents claiming to “love their child the most”.

We are failing our most vulnerable kids. We are working within the confines of two broken systems that are no longer fit for purpose. Social care is no longer the voice of the child and mental health is no longer an option due to no money and no time. Im broken working in it.
